Margaretre Gillespie

A portrait Artist and a native Missourian, I have lived in Kansas City since 1965 and an artist for fourty years. My passion for art in grade school led me to attend The Kansas City Art Institute, Harry Fredman Studio of portrait art school, and Longview Community College.

I create scenes of domestic warmth and family connections. I have exhibited in the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Amsterdam Whitney Museum in New York, Washington D.C. National Leadership Summit, and in many other places. I am a member or the Light in the Other Room artist group.
